Years 5-6 Sporting Program
During Term 1, 2 and 3, it is compulsory for all Year 5 and Year 6 to participate in 'The Invitational Sport Group'. The 'Group' gives students the opportunity to compete on a friendly basis in a variety of sports with students from other local private schools. The emphasis is very much on teaching the relevant skills and match play aspects of each sport, with little or no emphasis on results or scores. It also provides opportunities for Genazzano students to interact and socialise with students from other schools. All matches are played on Wednesday afternoons between 3.00-4.30pm. Students also train once a week.

Victorian Primary Schools' Sports Association (VPSSA)
Genazzano is affiliated with the Armadale District in the Victorian Primary Schools Sports Association. This involvement offers a higher level of competition for some of the more experienced and talented students in Yr 5 and Yr 6. In 2008, Genazzano sent representatives in basketball, netball, athletics, swimming, cross-country, tennis and soccer.
