Alice to Sea – Making Tracks for Tiny Tots

Alumna, Georgina McMahon (Kerr, 1998) is spreading awareness for premature babies

Genazzano Alumna, Georgina McMahon (Kerr, 1998), is about to embark on an amazing adventure in support of the Mercy for Women Pram Jam Project and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The Alice to Sea Walk – Making Tracks for Tiny Tots was created by Georgina and her friend Hollie as the pair were inspired to help premature babies and their families. Georgina has had three children prematurely, so knows firsthand the hardship that comes with young children needing special care.

Every year in Australia, over 48,000 newborn babies need the help of the NICU or Special Care Nursery, and 25,000 are born prematurely. Five babies are stillborn every single day. By donating to George and Hollie’s Alice to Sea Walk, you can help to reduce these rates, and provide some much needed support to the families affected.

The walk will take place over 35 days, from 1 June – 5 July 2017. Georgina’s journey can be followed on Facebook or via her gofundme page.

The College wishes Georgina and Hollie the best of luck in their brave endeavour.
