Genazzano announces 2025 Outstanding Alumna, Margie Reid

Genazzano FCJ College is proud to announce Margie Reid, CEO and Partner at Thinkerbell, as recipient of the 2025 Outstanding Alumna Award.

The Outstanding Alumna Award honours a graduate who exemplifies the College’s spirit and ethos- someone who inspires current students and the wider community through personal success, lifelong learning and meaningful contributions to society. Nominees are assessed on their demonstrated commitment to learning and achievement in their chosen field, as well as their role as an inspiring example of Genazzano’s values.

Margie Reid has build an impressive career spanning more than 25 years in the advertising industry. Eight years ago, she co-founded and leads Thinkerbell as their CEO, now recognised as Australia’s most creative agency and the fastest-growing start-up in the sector, wth over 180 staff across Australia and New Zealand.

Under her leadership, Thinkerbell has been named Adnews Agency of the Year (2024), B&T Advertising Agency of the Year (2023) and Campaign Brief’s Creative Agency of the Year (2022).

Margie herself has been recognised as B&T’s #1 CEO in Independent Creative Agencies and featured on the Adnews Champion of Change Powerlist for driving diversity and inclusion in media and advertising.

Before founding Thinkerbell, Margie led Melbourne’s largest media agency, OMD, and held senior roles at UM and Carat.

Beyond her professional success, she contributes to the community through her work with Support the Girls, an organisation supporting disadvantaged women, and L’Arche, which fosters inclusive communities for people with and without intellectual disabilities that can live, work and form meaningful relationships. She also serves on the Advisory Board for Inclusively Made, an initiative promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities in media and advertising production.

Margie’s outstanding achievements, love of learning and inspirational leadership truly reflect the values of Genazzano FCJ College. She is a shining example of what it means to live out the College’s ethos and is an incredible role model for current and future students.

Margie will be formally honoured at the Outstanding Alumna Assembly on Wednesday 13 August 2025.
