Genazzano welcomes back David McGrath as Head of Rowing

Genazzano FCJ College is thrilled to welcome back Mr David McGrath as our Head of Rowing.

David brings a wealth of experience to the role, with an impressive background as a coxswain, coach, program coordinator, and head coach across school, club, state, and international levels.

He is known for his athlete-centred coaching philosophy and is passionate about nurturing a lifelong love for rowing in his students, while supporting a balanced approach to their sporting and academic commitments.

A former athlete-in-residence at the Australian Institute of Sport, David was mentored by some of the country’s leading coaches before transitioning into coaching himself.

In his school-based roles, David has significantly increased student participation, revitalised coaching approaches, and led crews, including a schoolgirl eight-two national championship titles. As well as successfully leading many crews to gold at the Head of the Schoolgirls.
