An Innovation evolution

For the third year in a row, the College has been named as a Winner in the Educator’s awards for Innovative Schools. This recognition of Genazzano’s future focused programs highlights the College’s evolution of innovative initiatives and progressive work with educational and industry partners.

Over the past year, Genazzano has been agile and creative through lockdowns. Our teachers have dived into new areas such as gamification; neuroscience; data science; design thinking and more, to create new opportunities for learning beyond the classroom. The College has sights set firmly on the future and has launched new initiatives to respond to the passions, future careers and personalised needs of our students. 

What are some of the new initiatives?

• At the heart of the evolution are Genazzano’s four newly created Centres of Excellence promoting the development of skills in key areas: Global and Intercultural Learning, Innovation and Technology, Sports Development and Creative Industries.   
• Genazzano Institute offers students opportunities to learn ‘Future and Professional Skills’ through the GEN.i.US Microcredentials. Courses include Science Endeavour; Foundations in Philanthropy; Music Composition; Metacognition and The EDGE (promoting empowerment, leadership and resilience), with exciting new programs available in areas of sports, theatre, art and global learning for 2022.
• nextGEN is leading Careers Education with trailblazing initiatives that offer students the opportunity to create a professional digital folio; engage in programs to build industry skills and develop workplace readiness through Microcredentials such as the nextGEN Careers and Enterprise programs.

It’s a new world and the traditional pathways are not for everyone. 

 Studio Beyond is a leap forward in learning. Students are in the driver’s seat to design their own futures. Studio Beyond offers students a chance to further develop skills or bridge gaps before taking on the next stage of learning or work.
